NZ Dollar Edges Up Versus Majors As RBNZ Leaves Official Cash Rate Unchanged

The New Zealand dollar slightly edged up against major opponents after the announcement of Reserve Bank of New Zealand's interest rate decision at about 5:00 pm ET in early Asian deals on Thursday. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand left its Official Cash Rate (OCR) unchanged at 2.5 percent.

The OCR has held steady at 2.50 percent since March 2011.

At present, the NZ dollar is trading near 61.62 against the Japanese yen, 1.6210 versus the euro, 1.2826 against the Australian dollar and 0.7754 versus the US dollar.
