Aussie Spikes Up Further Against Major Rivals

The Australian dollar spiked up further against major opponents in late new York trading on Friday. The Aussie climbed to 0.9930 against the US dollar, 1.2601 versus the euro and 78.84 against the yen at around 3:45 pm ET, which may be compared to Thursday's close of 0.9896, 1.2700 and 78.81, respectively.

At present, the Australian unit is worth 0.9923 against the greenback, 1.2604 versus the euro and 78.78 against the yen.
