For a Federal Reserve official, allocating a considerable amount of money for building airports and roads won't necessarily bolster US economic growth.

Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari reiterated on Monday he does not see any reason that infrastructure would curtail economic expansion in America.

Whilst it is likely that better infrastructure could beef up productivity, Kashkari noted it would be best to appropriate more funds on improving the country's education system.

President Donald Trump previously pledged to raise the infrastructure budget as included in his economic agenda.
