Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Microsoft announced that they were creating an international working group aimed at eliminating terrorist contents from their sites.

Major technology companies said Monday they would divulge their technical solutions for removing terrorist posts, bolster partnership with counter-terrorism gurus, and support research to echo their counter-speech plans.

They added their group will standardize current and future aspects of partnership between them, as well as cultivate collaboration with their smaller counterparts, governments, civil society organizations, and academics, among others.

The four companies will attempt to further technical work including a database curated in December to share distinct digital fingerprints automatically designated to photos or videos of radical posts.

These firms responded to pressure from authorities in America and Europe after a string of militant assaults.
