2014.12.2414:53:00UTC+00Us Conference Board Consumer Confidence Probably rebounded in Dec: Capital Economics

Quotes from Capital Economics:
- After unexpectedly falling to a four-month low in Nov, we estimate that the Conference Board measure of consumer confidence rebounded in Dec.
- All the evidence suggests that confidence should be soaring. Real incomes are being boosted by the rapid pace of job growth and the continued fall in gasoline prices. Indeed, the other main measures of confidence increased in Dec, with the University of Michigan measure reaching a new seven-year high.
- Accordingly, we expect the Conference Board measure to rise to around 95.0, from 88.7 in November. This would bode well for consumption growth in early 2015 too.
