China will on Tuesday release September figures for consumer and producer prices, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Consumer prices are expected to have risen 2.5 percent on year, up from 2.3 percent in August. Producer prices are pegged at an annual 3.6 percent, down from 4.1 percent in the previous month.

New Zealand also will see inflation data for the third quarter of 2018; in the three months prior, consumer prices were up 0.4 percent on quarter and 1.5 percent on year.

Japan will provide September numbers for Tokyo condominium sales; in August, sales plummeted 28.5 percent on year.

The Reserve Bank of Australia will release the minutes from its monetary policy meeting on October 2. At the meeting, the bank voted to maintain its benchmark lending rate at the record low 1.50 percent - where it has been since August 2016.
