Norway's consumer price inflation eased in November after rising in the previous month, data from Statistics Norway showed on Tuesday.

The consumer price index climbed 1.6 percent annually in November, after a 1.8 percent increase in October. Economists had expected a rise of 1.7 percent. In September, inflation was 1.5 percent.

The core inflation rate slowed to 2.0 percent in November from 2.2 percent in the preceding month.

On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices rose 0.3 percent in November, following a 0.2 percent increase in the prior month. That was in line with economists' expectation.

The core CPI edged up 0.1 percent in November.

Separate data from the statistical office showed that the producer prices declined 9.5 percent annually in November, following a 13.8 percent drop in October.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 1.7 percent in November, following a 0.1 percent increase in the preceding month.
