2016.10.2402:40:00UTC+00Security experts warn firms to employ several vendors

In the advent of online attacks, security experts and entities stressed companies can lower the risk coming from the kind of cyber assaults which emerged last week by utilizing various vendors for domain name service.

Last week, cyber hackers launched a complicated assault via common devices including digital recorders and webcams, as well as slashed access to major websites.

Dyn Chief Strategy Officer Kyle York said the company has been championing the reduction of redundancy in the industry, saying no one can be safe enough or surplus. Dyn, a DNS provider situated in New Hampshire, experienced such an attack.

York added those who employed numerous servers sustained less impact. But security gurus cautioned multiple vendors can become more complex and expensive in overseeing traffic.

The Friday incident alarmed experts as it denotes a new type of peril anchored on the rise of simple digital devices, saying such gadgets have poor security features.
