Sometimes, a victory is not only about joy and euphoria, it is also about a large expense. Every so often a winner accepts a series of responsibilities they have to fulfill. Winning the Eurovision song contest is just the case. The singer that takes the first place receives a beautiful statuette and international recognition and gains the exclusive right for their country to hold the song competition next year. Jamala won the Eurovision 2016 bringing the popular contest to Ukraine. Of course, competition organization is a great event, but it will be quite a challenging task for Ukraine. The country suffers from political and economic turbulence, and the contest can slash its budget considerably. However, the country’s government is very determined. Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said the Eurovision song contest 2017 will definitely run in Ukraine. The country’s authorities assured the European Broadcasting Union that they will allocate 15 million euros for preparing and broadcasting the competition. However, the city for hosting Eurovision is still unknown. Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa fight for this right.
