Slovenia's industrial production grew in January, led by gains in manufacturing output, figures from the statistical office showed on Tuesday.

The industrial production index rose 0.3 percent year-on-year in January with manufacturing output growing 2.5 percent.

Meanwhile, production in the mining and quarrying sector and utility sector decreased 25.5 percent and 20.6 percent, respectively.

Capital goods production rose 7.6 percent and consumer goods output grew 7.5 percent. Intermediate goods production decreased 5.9 percent.

On a month-on-month basis, industrial production increased 1.7 percent in January.
