The company eBay and its online payment unit Pay Pal sued Google corporation and two former employees of Pay Pal for stealing the commercial secrets, is reported by Reuters.
Osama Bedier and Stephanie Tilenius were executives in Pay Pal and took part in the developing and launching of Google Wallet payment system, that was officially presented on May 26, 2011. Tilenius worked in eBay from 2001, and started at Google in February 2010, and approximately in a year she hired Bedier, thus, eBay considers their agreement violated. A representative of Google refused to comment the issue, having declared that by far the corporation had not received the official notification of the claim being filed to court by eBay. Google Wallet is established by Google in cooperation with Citigroup bank, MasterCard and the processor of credit cards and mobile operator Sprint. It allows the users to pay for their purchases in shops via smartphones with the NFC chip, and also supports MasterCard plastic cards issued by Citigroup as well as Google pre-paid cards.
