The labor market findings of Canada Statistics for April showed a surprising employment upturn in the country.


As stated in the published report, the Canadian economy has initiated 58.200 new jobs, although the experts were predicting an uptrend just by 10.100 vacancies. If considering the figures for March, such a huge springing of empployment was registed in far 1981.


But what is more paradoxical, with these positive reports, the unemployment rate advanced by 0.1% - to the rate of 7.3% year-on-year. Most likely that the number of Canadians seeking a work place has expanded.


A favorable change of employed number provoked the Canadian dollar to gain 100 points versus the American unit - the US dollar fell to 99.6 against the Canadian one.


Investors believe that better labor market performance would convince the Bank of Canada in possibility of marking up its interest rate.
