In March 2025, industrial production in Estonia increased by 0.5% compared to the same month the previous year. This represents a slowdown from the previously upwardly revised 2.6% growth in February, which was the highest in over two years. The deceleration was primarily attributed to a reduction in the growth rate of manufacturing output, which increased by 1.2% compared to 2% in the previous month. This decrease was notable in sectors such as food products, which saw a growth of 1.2% down from 2%, and beverages, which increased by 4.5% compared to a significant 19.7% growth earlier. Meanwhile, output in mining and quarrying fell by 6.1%, an improvement from a 14.3% decline in the preceding month. Similarly, production in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector decreased by 1.7%, following a 6% increase in the previous month. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production decreased by 1.3%, after experiencing a 5.8% rise in the previous period.
