In October 2025, Denmark's annual inflation rate decreased to 2.1%, down from 2.3% in September. The slowdown was observed in sectors like housing and utilities, which dropped to 1.5% from 1.6%, transportation decreasing to 1.5% from 2.0%, food and non-alcoholic beverages falling to 4.5% from 5.3%, and recreation and culture, which eased to 2.3% from 3.0%. Conversely, inflation saw an uptick in certain areas: it rose for restaurants and hotels to 2.5% from 1.8%, increased for communication to 4.7% from 4.1%, and for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, it climbed to 1.6% from 0.9%. Additionally, inflation for furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance rebounded to 1.2% from a previous decline of -0.1%. Health-related inflation remained steady at 1.1%, while prices for clothing and footwear continued to decline at -0.8%. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices rose by 0.4% in October, marking the first increase in three months, following a 0.1% decrease in September. Core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food items, slightly increased to 2.3% from 2.2% compared to the previous month.
