Kazakhstan experienced a 7.1% year-on-year increase in industrial production in October 2025, marking an acceleration from the previous month's eight-month low of 5.2%. This growth was predominantly fueled by a more rapid rise in mining and quarrying output, which surged by 12.5% compared to 6.8% in September. Additionally, there was an increase in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning, with a growth of 3.2% up from 3%. Conversely, the manufacturing sector saw a deceleration in production growth, recorded at 2.2% down from 4.1%, while the activity in water supply, waste management, and pollution control sectors declined further, dropping by 3.8% compared to a 1.6% decrease previously. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output decreased by 0.6% in October, a less severe contraction following a 2.9% decline the month before. Over the first ten months of the year, industrial production was 7.3% higher than the same period in the previous year.
