Indonesia's government recorded a budget deficit of IDR 479.7 trillion ($28.68 billion) from January to October 2025, accounting for 2.02% of the nation's GDP, as announced by the finance minister on Thursday. This figure marks an increase from the 1.56% of GDP noted in the first nine months; however, it remains within the 2025 budget cap of 2.78% of GDP. In this period, government revenues totaled IDR 2,113.3 trillion, achieving 73.7% of the annual target, with tax revenues meeting 84.3% of their objective. Meanwhile, government expenditures amounted to IDR 2,593 trillion, fulfilling 73.5% of the annual budget goal, and central government spending reached 70.6% of its projected budget.
