06.01.202601:36:52UTC+00Philippines Producer Inflation Eases to 4-Month Low

Producer prices in the Philippines experienced a modest increase of 0.1% year-on-year in November 2025, decelerating from an upwardly revised 0.5% rise observed in October. This figure represents the lowest since the deflation noted in July, largely influenced by a reduction in prices within the transport equipment manufacturing sector, which declined by 0.1% compared to a 1.0% increase in the previous month. This sector contributed to 25.8% of the overall slowdown in annual manufacturing PPI growth. Additionally, the manufacturing of food products saw a slowed price increase of 0.1%, down from 0.5%. Noteworthy, the annual price decrease for computer, electronic, and optical products continued, showing a drop of 0.5% following a previous decline of 0.01%. In contrast, price growth accelerated in other sectors, including tobacco products, which increased by 3.4%, up from 3.3%; wearing apparel, which rose by 0.7%, compared to the previous 0.2%; and furniture, which went up by 0.6% following a 0.3% rise. On a month-to-month basis, producer inflation eased to 0.2%, down from a revised increase of 0.6% in October.
