In December 2025, Poland's industrial output experienced a significant year-on-year increase of 7.3%, rebounding from the previous month's 1.1% decline and far exceeding market forecasts, which anticipated a 2.9% rise. The manufacturing sector recovered notably with a 7.8% increase, following a 1.4% decrease in November. Moreover, activity in the mining and quarrying sector accelerated, recording an 8.7% rise compared to 4.5% previously, while the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services sector saw an impressive 11.3% increase, up from 3.4%. Simultaneously, the downturn in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning witnessed a mild easing, with a contraction of 2.1% improving from the prior 2.7% decline. On a month-on-month basis, industrial output experienced a marginal decrease of 0.1% in December, a significant improvement over the 9.3% slump observed in the previous period.
