10.07.202607:00:00UTC+00Czech June CPI Slips Into Deflationary Territory, Falling 0.3% MoM

Consumer prices in the Czech Republic fell by 0.3% month-over-month in June 2026, according to data updated on 10 July 2026, marking a notable deterioration from the previous month’s marginal inflation. In the prior reading for June 2026, the month-over-month Consumer Price Index (CPI) change had stood at 0.1%.

The latest figure indicates that, on a month-over-month basis, prices not only stopped rising but actually declined, pointing to a short-term deflationary move in June. The comparison is based on changes from one month to the next: the “actual” figure reflects the change in June relative to May, while the “previous” figure showed how prices moved in the preceding month versus its prior month. The shift from a slight 0.1% increase to a 0.3% decrease underscores growing disinflationary pressures in the Czech economy over the early summer period.
