13.08.202610:00:00UTC+00Irish HICP Inflation Eases Slightly to 3.1% in July

Ireland’s Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) edged down in July, with the annual inflation rate easing to 3.1% year-over-year from 3.2% previously.

According to the latest data, updated on 13 August 2026, the July 2026 reading compares price levels in July 2026 with those of July 2025. The prior figure, also measured on a year-over-year basis, showed a 3.2% rise for the same month, indicating a marginal deceleration in inflationary pressures.

The slight moderation suggests that consumer price growth in Ireland remains elevated but is showing signs of stabilisation on a yearly comparison, as the pace of increase has cooled fractionally between the two readings for July.
