Poland’s industrial output rose by 5.1% year-on-year in July 2026, slowing from a downwardly revised 7.4% increase in June but slightly surpassing market expectations of a 4.9% gain. Growth in manufacturing decelerated (4.4% vs. 6.2% in June), mainly reflecting weaker production in food (0.3% vs. 6.7%), wood, cork and wicker products (2.1% vs. 9.1%), paper and paper products (7.0% vs. 19.0%), and pharmaceutical products (1.6% vs. 11.5%).

Output also moderated across other key sectors: mining and quarrying (18.5% vs. 28.4%), water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (7.4% vs. 14.5%), and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (11.3% vs. 14.4%).

On a monthly basis, industrial production declined by 1.8% in July, reversing a downwardly revised 1.8% increase recorded in June. Over the January–July period, industrial output was 3.6% higher than in the same period a year earlier.
