US Labor Market

The gold quote extends its downward motion.
During the trades on Thursday the precious metal dropped in price to the level of 1632 US dollars and 50 cents per troy ounce.
The pressure was put by a positive statistics on the US labor market. Relying on the Department of Labor findings, the number of initial jobless claims had reduced for the last week by 27 thousand. The analysts were forecasting a contraction of 8 thousand.
Today another group of indicators is due for release indicating the state of the US labor sector. The unemployment is supposed to stay at the same level of 8.2%. Among other labor markets the American one has been releassing positive reports.  
Other countries keep on demonstrating new highs. Thus, in the first quarter of 2012 the jobless rate in New Zealand has surged to its 2-year peak of 6.7%. While, the experts predicted a 0.1% downturn.
A day before the Eurozone had also fixed a maximal value of unemployment for the last 15 years - at 10.9%.
