Nordstrom, Inc. (JWN), a renowned American luxury department store chain, announced on Friday its plan to inaugurate a new Nordstrom Rack location in Longmont, Colorado, by the fall of 2025. This venture forms part of the company's strategic effort to enhance its footprint in the area.

The forthcoming 28,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack will be housed in Harvest Junction, a well-frequented shopping complex in Longmont, Colorado, which includes retailers like Marshall's, Best Buy, and Ross. Situated conveniently off Highway 119/Ken Pratt Boulevard, Harvest Junction is owned by a Pine Tree affiliate.

As the company's off-price division, Nordstrom Rack is central to Nordstrom's "Closer to You" strategy, aiming to deliver a seamless, interconnected shopping experience. It offers discounts of up to 70% on premier brand clothing, accessories, beauty products, home furnishings, and footwear, alongside services such as online order pickup, hassle-free returns, and alterations. Notably, Nordstrom Rack serves as Nordstrom's largest avenue for acquiring new customers.

This new establishment will bolster Nordstrom's market presence and contribute economically within Colorado, where the company currently operates two full-line Nordstrom stores and eight Nordstrom Rack outlets, collectively employing over 1,400 individuals in the state.

Nordstrom is committed to reinvesting in the communities it serves. Together with its customers, Nordstrom has contributed more than $2 million over the last four years to support its collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, funding mentorship programs that include training, interview readiness, life skills coaching, and homework support.

Currently, shares of JWN are trading at $24.28, reflecting a slight decline of 0.21% on the New York Stock Exchange.
