This movement came as investors considered the European Central Bank's anticipated decision to maintain interest rates, along with the latest inflation report from the United States. The ECB largely retained its inflation outlook, making slight adjustments to the Eurozone forecasts for 2025 and 2026, increasing them by 0.1 percentage point to 2.1% and 1.7%, respectively. Concurrently, US inflation figures aligned closely with expectations, bolstering speculation of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut in the upcoming week. Among the equities, leading gainers included Airbus, Bayer, Heidelberg Materials, Zalando, and Deutsche Bank, all recording increases ranging from 1% to nearly 3%. Conversely, Sartorius (-2.5%) and Qiagen NV (-1.8%) experienced the most significant declines.
