In September 2025, Poland's industrial production experienced a notable increase, rising by 7.4% compared to the same month the previous year. This surge represents the most substantial growth in industrial activity since April 2024. The upswing is largely attributed to a marked rise in manufacturing, which jumped by 8.2% from a modest 1.1% in August, along with improvements in the sectors of water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services, which grew by 6.3% from 1.5% the previous month. There was also a reduction in the contraction of the mining and quarrying sectors, narrowing to -1.5% from -2%. Conversely, output continued to decline for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, albeit at a slower pace of -3.6% compared to -6.6% previously. On a month-over-month basis, industrial production showed a robust recovery, climbing by 16.1% in September, reversing a 7.1% decline in the prior month.
