US stock futures remained relatively unchanged on Wednesday as investors continued to concentrate on earnings reports. Simultaneously, apprehensions persisted regarding the US-China trade tensions and the ongoing government shutdown. Notably, Netflix shares dropped by over 6% in premarket trading due to effects from a tax issue in Brazil. Texas Instruments also fell 7.6% after providing a less-than-optimistic outlook. Even though Thermo Fisher Scientific reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue, its stock declined by 4.7%. Conversely, AT&T experienced a 2.4% increase after surpassing expectations for new wireless subscribers, and Intuitive Surgical saw a significant surge of over 17% following robust earnings and revenue figures. Both Tesla and IBM, with slight respective increases of 0.1% and 0.3%, are set to announce their quarterly results after markets close.
