Retail sales in Croatia experienced a 4.1% year-on-year increment in October 2025, building on a 3.1% increase recorded in the previous month. This marked the most substantial growth since June, largely fueled by robust sales in non-food products, excluding automotive fuels and lubricants, which surged by 7.7%, up from 5.0% in September. Additionally, sales of automotive fuels and lubricants also saw a notable increase of 9.0%, compared to 7.6% previously. Conversely, there was a deceleration in growth for food, beverages, and tobacco, which edged up by 1.6%, down from 1.9%, as well as for online and mail-order sales, which rose by 5.1%, in contrast to 5.9% earlier. On a month-over-month basis, retail trade advanced by 1.3% in October, mirroring the growth rate of the preceding month. Cumulatively, for the period from January to October, retail sales registered a 3.6% rise compared to the same timeframe the previous year.
