In October 2025, Brazil's industrial production witnessed a modest increase of 0.1% compared to the previous month, recovering from a 0.4% decrease observed in September. However, this growth fell short of the anticipated 0.4% rise. The extractive sector experienced a robust growth of 3.6%, whereas the manufacturing sector saw a decline of 0.6%. Notably, the mining and quarrying industries led the positive contributions with a substantial 3.6% increase, marking the end of their two-month downturn. Additional gains were observed in various sectors: food products increased by 0.9%, motor vehicles by 2.0%, chemicals by 1.3%, computer and electronic goods by 4.1%, and apparel by 3.8%. Conversely, the most significant declines occurred in the coke, petroleum products, and biofuels sector, which dropped by 3.9%, and in the pharmaceuticals sector, which plummeted by 10.8%. When evaluated year-on-year, the output saw a reduction of 0.5%.
