In November 2025, manufacturing production in the Netherlands experienced a 0.5% decline compared to the previous month. This downturn follows a slight revision of a 0.4% decrease in October, marking the most pronounced contraction since July. Notably, output fell significantly in several sectors, including textiles (down 3.7% from a 2.1% decrease in October), leather and footwear (down 3.6% from a 3.0% drop), paper (down 5.0% from a 6.9% increase), and petroleum (down 0.3% from a 26.0% rise). The pharmaceuticals sector saw a 5.1% decrease from a 4.0% increase, basic metals dropped 7.7% against a previous 1.6% rise, and electrical equipment fell by 9.0% following a 12.9% increase. Additional declines were noted in rubber and plastic products (down 1.3% from a 1.2% increase), building materials (down 0.6% from a 0.3% rise), graphics (down 1.2% from a 3.5% increase), metal products (down 2.1% from a 2.0% rise), and other transport equipment (down 2.4% from a 2.1% increase).

Conversely, some sectors experienced a recovery in production: the food industry grew by 0.2% from a 0.6% decrease, chemicals rose 1.8% after a 1.2% decline, electricals surged 5.2% from an 11.1% drop, automotive and trailers saw a notable 9.9% increase from a 4.3% decrease, and furniture production rose by 1.4% following a 2.2% decline. On an annual basis, manufacturing output increased by 0.7%, slowing from the 2.1% growth observed in the preceding month.
