European equity markets were poised for a positive open on Tuesday, even as rising oil prices continued to stoke inflationary pressures and concerns over further interest rate hikes. Global bond yields remained near multi-year highs, with the benchmark 10-year Euro Area yield steady at 3.64%, its highest level since 2009.

Investors are set to digest a series of key data releases, including Spanish inflation and retail sales, Italian producer price figures, and Eurozone economic sentiment indicators.

In corporate news, Julius Baer Group reported that Finma has closed its regulatory enforcement case against the bank; Julius Baer has also requested approval for a new share buyback program. Separately, Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Spruengli cut its sales growth forecast for the second time this year, citing weaker demand in major markets and declining consumer confidence.
