Frankfurt’s DAX 40 climbed 0.6% on Friday to move above 25,500, its highest level in more than three weeks, marking a third straight session of gains. Sentiment was lifted by receding worries over AI-related spending and interest rates, while softer oil prices offered additional support.

Investors also kept a close watch on corporate earnings and geopolitical developments. Most sectors advanced, with autos, industrials, retailers, banks and telecoms leading the move higher. BMW, Mercedes-Benz Group and Volkswagen were among the standout performers, each adding around 2%. Rheinmetall, Scout24, Fresenius SE & Co, Zalando and Heidelberg Materials also posted solid gains.

Commerzbank rose 1.1% after the ECB approved UniCredit’s plan to increase its stake, bolstering expectations that the transaction could enhance Commerzbank’s profitability. On the downside, Infineon slipped 0.6% and Beiersdorf eased 0.4%, underperforming the broader market.
