Yesterday a long awaited event happened � the credit rating of Japan was downgraded. Who took this step?


The experts from the international agency Fitch took a decision to lower the rating by two grades concerning the foreign currency and by one grade in the national currency.


Today Japan has the largest national debt which amounts to over 2hundred and 10% of the GDP and the value is constantly growing.


This fact appeared the main reason of the rating decline. So if the government takes no proper measures of solving the high debt problem, the rating will be downgraded again.


After the report the yen changed the trend which was peculiar of late. Thus the Japanese yen lost 70 pips versus the US dollar and cost 80.1. However, the yen is likely to renew the increase being supported by traders expecting the results of the meeting in the Bank of Japan, which will close today.


As numerous experts consider, the interest rate will remain at its minimal value of zero to 0.1. The change of the monetary policy in the country is also possible, which will be directed to support the economic growth of Japan.
