01.08.202513:37:35UTC+00Brazil Manufacturing Activity Shrinks for 3rd Month

The S&P Global Brazil Manufacturing PMI registered at 48.2 in July 2025, remaining nearly stable from June's figure of 48.3, which marked an almost one-year low. This reflects a continued decline in the manufacturing sector for the third consecutive month. A significant reduction in new orders was noted, accelerating to the quickest decline in just over two years, largely due to market uncertainty. Export orders specifically saw a notable drop, affected by decreased interest from clients in South America, the UK, and the US. Consequently, production levels decreased for the third month in a row; however, the pace of contraction was less severe compared to June. This situation also led manufacturers to reduce the volumes of input purchases and inventory levels.
