In July 2025, construction output in the Eurozone experienced a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, an improvement from the revised 1.8% growth seen in June. This acceleration was driven by robust performance across all sectors, with building construction rising by 3.3% compared to 3.1%, civil engineering increasing to 3.4% from 3.0%, and specialized activities advancing to 2.8% from 1.2%. Among the major economies within the bloc, Spain exhibited the strongest growth at 22.8%, albeit down from a previous 31.4%, followed by the Netherlands, which recorded a growth of 1.9% compared to 1.4% earlier. On the other hand, output continued to shrink in Germany, reporting a decrease of 1.2% compared to -2.0% previously, and in France, which saw a decline of 1.7% against a previous 5.0% contraction. On a month-on-month basis, construction activity experienced a 0.5% increase, bouncing back after two months of consecutive declines.
