22.09.202507:55:02UTC+00Natural Gas Prices in Europe Stable at €32

European natural gas futures have remained steady at approximately €32 per megawatt-hour since mid-September, bolstered by robust inventories and ongoing LNG transactions. Wind energy production has been strong, and temperatures have remained above seasonal averages. Currently, EU storage levels are at 81.6% capacity, with Germany at 76.4%, France at 90.6%, and Italy at 91%. In a recent move, the European Union has proposed a complete ban on Russian LNG imports effective January 1, 2027, as a part of its latest sanctions against Russia aimed at limiting President Putin's financial resources for the war in Ukraine. Concurrently, the United States has affirmed its readiness to increase LNG exports to Europe, with new production capacity anticipated to become operational in the coming years.
