In early trading on Monday, the FTSE MIB index increased by 0.5% to approximately 43,380, reaching its highest level in over three weeks and kicking off November with a positive trend. The utility company A2A saw a significant rise of 5.9% after Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock's rating from 'equal weight' to 'overweight' and increased its target price from €2.55 to €3.25. Energy leader Eni experienced a 0.9% gain following the announcement of a new oil and gas partnership with Malaysia’s Petronas. Other significant performers included Stellantis with a 1.9% increase, Bper Banca rising by 1.7%, and MFE up by 2.9%. These gains were somewhat counterbalanced by a 2.3% drop in the shares of spirits producer Campari, following the Italian tax authorities' seizure of $1.5 billion in shares due to allegations of tax evasion.
