In October 2025, Chile's annual inflation rate decreased to 3.4%, marking a decline from 4.4% in September and reaching its lowest level since May 2021. Notably, prices for clothing and footwear saw a further drop of 3.0% compared to a 2.8% decrease previously. Similarly, costs within the information and communication sector edged down by 0.1%, contrasting with a prior increase of 0.4%.

While price hikes slowed in several categories, food and non-alcoholic beverages saw an increase of 3.1%, down from 4.9%, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose by 3.6%, a slight reduction from 3.9%. The cost of housing and utilities experienced a notable decrease, rising by 6.9% compared to 9.8%. Likewise, healthcare costs ascended by 4.2%, down from 4.9%, education by 5.2% (from 5.3%), and insurance and financial services by 0.6% (a drop from 2.0%).

Conversely, inflation picked up in the household equipment and maintenance sector, increasing by 0.9% compared to 0.3% previously, and in transport, which rose by 0.8% from 0.4%. Costs remained stable in the sectors of recreation, sports, and culture at 3.2%, and in restaurants and lodging at 6.6%. On a month-to-month basis, prices remained steady, following a 0.4% uptick in September.
