The Paris CAC 40 continued to experience downturns on Wednesday, declining by 0.3% to fall below 7,950, marking its weakest point since mid-October. Investor focus shifted to Nvidia's anticipated quarterly earnings, set to be released following the close of the US market. Ongoing concerns regarding overvaluations in the AI-driven technology sector, along with waning hopes for Federal Reserve interest rate cuts, maintained pressure on market sentiment. Leading the declines, Kering saw a drop of 2.7% after CEO Luca de Meo highlighted the need to diversify away from its underperforming Gucci brand in order to stimulate growth. Other significant decliners included LVMH, down 1.1%; ENGIE, which fell 1%; Renault with a 0.9% decrease; and both Orange and L'Oréal, which declined by 0.7% and 0.6% respectively. In other developments, Interparfums revised its 2025 revenue projections downward, while Sodexo announced that Thierry Delaporte will take on the role of CEO for the company's US division starting January 1, 2026.
