In September 2025, Russia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) showed a year-on-year increase of 0.9%, building on a 0.4% growth over the previous two months, according to a report from the Economic Development Ministry on the nation's current economic scenario. This growth was primarily fueled by advancements in construction, which rose to 0.2% from 0.1% in August, a boost in manufacturing output to 0.4% compared to 2.4% in August, and a notable increase in agriculture, which saw a rise of 4.2% against the 6.1% in August. Industrial production went up by 0.3% after experiencing a 0.5% rise in August. Over the first nine months of the year, Russia's GDP was up by 1.0% year-on-year, consistent with the growth recorded in the first eight months. Meanwhile, in the third quarter, GDP growth slowed to 0.6%, down from a 1.1% increase in the second quarter. In its latest adjustment, the ministry revised its GDP growth forecast for 2025 down to 1% from an initial 2.5% that was estimated in April. Furthermore, projections for 2026 were adjusted to 1.3%, down from a previously anticipated 2.4%.
