Producer prices in Finland saw a 0.2% increase year-on-year in October 2025, bouncing back from a 0.3% decline recorded the previous month. This marks the fifth instance of rising producer prices within the year, driven largely by a significant rebound in the costs of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, which rose by 7.8% compared to a 2.5% decrease in September. Conversely, price growth experienced a slowdown in the sectors of water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation services, adjusting to a 2.0% rise from a previous 2.7%. Prices in the mining and quarrying industries fell at a reduced rate of 4.2%, down from 4.4%. Conversely, deflation in manufactured products intensified, with a 0.3% decline compared to a 0.1% drop, particularly influenced by decreased prices in paper, paper products, basic iron, steel, and ferro-alloys. On a month-to-month comparison, producer prices increased by 0.3% in October, recovering from a 0.4% dip observed in the preceding month.
