In October 2025, Belgium experienced a decline in producer prices by 0.4% compared to the previous year, following a 0.4% rise in the prior month. This marked the first incidence of producer price deflation since July, primarily driven by a notable decrease in energy prices, which plunged by 4.06% as opposed to a slight dip of 0.51% in September. Additionally, there was a downturn in prices for consumer goods, with non-durable consumer goods slipping by 0.36% compared to a 0.45% increase in the previous month, while consumer goods overall declined by 0.32% following the same increase in September. Prices for capital goods saw a moderation in growth, rising by 1.02% down from 1.29%, and durable consumer goods also experienced slower growth at 0.49%, slightly below the 0.51% previously recorded. However, there was an acceleration in cost increases for intermediate goods, which rose by 1.06%, up from 0.39%. On a month-to-month basis, Belgian producer prices declined by 0.2% in October.
