In October 2025, Serbia experienced a 2.9% decline in building permits issued, bringing the total to 3,511, which represents a shift from the 3.1% increase observed in the prior month. Of these issued permits, 86.8% pertained to buildings, while the remaining 13.2% were for civil engineering projects. Within the building category, permits for residential purposes accounted for 85.5%, with the remaining 14.5% designated for non-residential structures. In the realm of civil engineering, 77.3% of the permits involved pipelines, communication, and electric power lines. The data revealed plans for constructing 4,291 dwellings, with an average floor area of 70.1 m², where 9.2% are single-dwelling residences and the majority, 89.6%, are in structures featuring three or more dwellings. The projected value of new construction endeavors constituted 88.0% of the total, with the highest concentration in the Beogradska oblast at 54.8%, followed by Šumadijska at 21.9% and Sremska at 5.3%.
