In December 2025, Armenia's annual inflation rate rose slightly to 3.3%, up from 3.1% in November. There was a noticeable acceleration in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which surged to 4.3% from 3.8% the month before. Similarly, the costs of alcoholic beverages and tobacco climbed to 7.3% from 6.7%, and transport expenses increased to 6.2% from 5%. The service sectors such as restaurants and hotels experienced modest price hikes, moving to 2.9% from the previous 2.7%, while miscellaneous goods and services saw prices rise to 2.8% from 2.4%. There was a recovery in clothing and footwear, with prices increasing by 0.3% after a slight dip of -0.2%. Prices remained stable in the communication sector at 0.6% and in education at 8.3%. Conversely, inflation rates eased in sectors like housing and utilities, which saw a decrease to 0.3% from 0.6%, furnishings and household equipment with a decline to 0.2% from 1.0%, health services reducing to 2.5% from 3%, and recreation and culture dropping to 0.9% from 2.5%. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices increased by 1.2% in December, exceeding the 0.6% rise observed in November.
