In December 2025, Croatia's annual producer price inflation fell to 0.1%, down from a twenty-month high of 2% in November, marking the lowest level since April. This decrease was primarily influenced by a significant drop in prices within the mining and quarrying sector, which declined by 11.8% compared to an 18% increase in November, particularly notable in crude petroleum and natural gas extraction, which saw costs plummet by 29.2% compared to a prior rise of 16.1%. The rate of cost increases in manufacturing also slowed, reaching 0.3% compared to 0.9%, with notable decreases in tobacco products (1.6% compared to 3.9%) and repair and installation of machinery and equipment (5.6% compared to 8.6%), alongside further reductions in coke and refined petroleum products, which fell by 8% against a previous 1.3% decline. Furthermore, a deceleration was observed in producer inflation for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (0.3% versus 3.6%), as well as in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (1.2% versus 1.4%). Excluding energy, prices remained stable at 1.1% in December. On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased by 0.4%, reversing the previous month's 0.4% increase.
