Kyrgyzstan’s GDP expanded by 9.0% year-on-year in January 2026, supported by strong growth in commodity production, services, and net taxes on products. Output in goods-producing sectors increased by 11.8%, including a 12.5% rise in industry, a 25.7% surge in construction, and a 3.5% gain in agriculture, forestry, and fishing. Within industry, mining output jumped 37.7%, manufacturing grew by 12.0%, electricity, gas, and steam supply edged up 0.7%, and water supply, waste management, and recycling rose 13.8%.

The services sector grew by 8.9%, driven by robust performance in wholesale and retail trade and vehicle repair (+17.4%), transportation and storage (+1.7%), hotels and restaurants (+10.9%), information and communications (+3.8%), and other services (+6.2%). Net taxes on products increased by 5.4%. This broad-based expansion across agriculture, industry, construction, trade, hotels and restaurants, and transportation and communications collectively accounts for 55% of GDP.
