19.02.202611:00:00UTC+00Serbia’s Annual Inflation Eases to 2.4% in January, Extending Disinflation Trend

Serbia’s consumer price inflation eased to 2.40% year-over-year in January 2026, down from 2.70% in December 2025, according to data updated on 19 February 2026. The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) reading confirms a continued disinflationary trend at the start of the year.

The figures compare price changes in January 2026 with the same month a year earlier, while the previous reading measured December 2025 against December of the prior year. The step down in the annual rate suggests that price pressures in the Serbian economy are moderating, with inflation moving further away from the higher levels recorded in earlier periods.

With the CPI now at 2.40% year-over-year, the data may help shape expectations for monetary policy and economic planning, as businesses and investors assess the trajectory of consumer prices in Serbia going into 2026.
