11.03.202610:13:12UTC+00Croatia Producer Prices at 3-Month High

Producer prices in Croatia rose by 0.9% year-on-year in February 2026, reversing a 1.2% decline in January and reaching their highest level since November 2025. The upturn was chiefly driven by a moderation in deflation within manufacturing (-0.3% vs. -0.6% in January), underpinned by stronger price growth in several segments: manufacture of wood and wood products, excluding furniture, as well as articles of straw and plaiting materials (5.9% vs. 5.5%); manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (2.3% vs. 1.8%); manufacture of electrical equipment (0.5% vs. 0.4%); and manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (2.3% vs. 2.1%). The overall recovery was further supported by a sharp turnaround in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector (8.2% vs. -1.5%). By contrast, deflation intensified in mining and quarrying (-22.1% vs. -16%). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 2.3%, rebounding from a 0.1% decline in January.
