Producer prices in Luxembourg fell by 4.6% year-on-year in February 2026, deepening January’s revised 3.8% decline and marking the sharpest deflation since July 2024. The drop was driven primarily by lower prices for consumer goods producers (-13.1%) and energy (-9.2%), ahead of an expected increase in benchmark energy costs in March due to tighter supply following the outbreak of war in the Middle East. By contrast, prices declined more moderately for capital goods producers (-0.7%) and intermediate goods producers (-1.9%).
