10.04.202606:00:00UTC+00Lithuania’s Producer Prices Rebound Sharply, Surging 6.5% Year-on-Year in March

Lithuania’s producer price index (PPI) swung strongly back into positive territory in March 2026, rising 6.50% year-on-year, according to data updated on 10 April 2026. The move marks a sharp reversal from February 2026, when the PPI had registered a 2.80% annual decline.

The figures, based on a year-on-year comparison of March 2026 to March 2025, indicate a significant turnaround in price dynamics at the factory gate. In February 2026, producer prices were still lower than a year earlier, but the March data now show a robust increase relative to the same month of the previous year.

This pronounced shift from -2.80% to 6.50% suggests that cost pressures for Lithuanian producers have intensified within a short period, with potential implications for corporate margins and, eventually, consumer prices if higher producer costs are passed down the value chain.
