14.04.202600:00:00UTC+00Singapore’s GDP Growth Cools to 4.6% in Q1 2026, Easing from 6.9% a Year Earlier

Singapore’s economy expanded by 4.6% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026, slowing from the 6.9% growth recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025 on the same year-over-year basis, according to data updated on 14 April 2026.

The latest figure reflects a moderation in the pace of expansion when compared with the robust performance seen a year earlier, as the current reading compares economic activity in the first quarter of 2026 with the same period in 2025. The previous indicator, by contrast, measured the change in the fourth quarter of 2025 relative to the fourth quarter of 2024.

While still signaling solid growth, the easing from 6.9% to 4.6% suggests that the surge in momentum seen in late 2025 has tapered off, highlighting a more measured expansion at the start of 2026 on a year-over-year basis.
